Do You Have the Right Chemistry?

Chemistry between two people, like compatibility, is one of the most important elements of any relationship. Although two people who enjoy a great chemistry together are not guaranteed a successful relationship, a relationship without any chemistry is almost certainly destined for failure.
Chemistry is a complex emotion that is hard to explain but very easily recognised when it's there. It is not all about sex appeal or looks, although they do both have their part to play. Chemistry can make us attracted to someone who defies all our preconceived ideas about what we normally find attractive. It may be a mixture of things about them; the way they move, the way they smile, their eyes, even the sight of their hands or the back of their neck may be enough to give you butterflies in the pit of your stomach!
Unlike lust, chemistry rarely wanes, and if you have great chemistry AND find that you can enjoy each others company whether you're out on the town or simply staying in watching TV, you may just have an enviable and enduring relationship on your hands.
However, if the two of you get on together like a house on fire but there's just no chemistry, it may be best to come to terms with the fact that you don't have a long-term sexual and romantic relationship that is going to work out. What you've got however, is a potentially great friend. Enjoy their friendship, move on and find someone who really sparks your interest and leaves you breathless, excited and weak at the knees.
It is estimated that around 80% of people think the first kiss is a good indication of how successful the relationship will be.
