Commitment-Phobes

Whilst it can be relatively simple to handle someone who is simply not looking for a committed relationship, dealing with a commitmentphobe can be an entirely different affair.
The trouble with this type of person is that they usually convince themselves that they DO want to be in a relationship and so then set about winning your heart. However, once you are hooked and madly in love with them, they then decide that they feel trapped and push you away.
If this isn't bad enough, the commitment-phobe is usually scared of ANY type of commitment; so whilst they don't want to commit to you, they don't want to commit to being without you either. So when you decide to leave them because they pushed you away, they will then try to win you back and the whole cycle begins again.
In this section you find information on the three distinct stages that a relationship with a commitment-phobe usually follows: the first, where they hook you; the second, where they start to push you away; and the third, where they push for you to break it off with them.
