How to Use Body Language

How to Use Body Language

There are a number of positive body language signals that both men and women give off if they're interested in each other, often within the first ten minutes of meeting. Look out for some of the major behaviour clues, such as:

  • if their pupils dilate
  • if they suck in their tummies; this means that they are trying subconsciously to minimise them and also to emphasise their upper torso or breasts
  • if they run their hands through their hair (this may also involve other aspects of hair-play for women)

Showing Your Interest

If you're interested in someone, it's important to make sure that your body language reflects this, so that the other person knows (even on a sub-conscious level) that any further advances would be welcome. The good thing about using non-verbal signs of attraction is that if either of you loses interest as the conversation wears on, then you'll have given nothing away verbally and can feel quite unembarrassed about moving on. Think about using the following gestures:

  • Smile at them, openly and warmly.
  • Run your fingers through your hair or stroke your face.
  • Let your eyes linger on theirs for a few seconds, drop your gaze for a moment and then look into their eyes again for just a second longer.
  • Turn your body towards them and lean forward slightly, head just tilted to one side.
